Niven had a great effort in the 32nd minute when he shot from outside the area and the ball just tippedover the bar by the keeper . Shildon's hard work eventually paid off in the 39th minute, Grayson's shot was pushed away by the keeper and Masters arrived to tap the loose ball into the net putting Shildon 1-0 ahead.
